Round 1
1. Lions Jason Smith ot Baylor
-Smith was awesome at the combine. Big decision for
the lions but they will stick with Culpepper and go
to the draft next year for a QB.
2. Rams Eugene Monroe OT Virginia
-Safe pick to replace the often injured Orlando Pace.
3. Chiefs Aaron Curry LB Wake Forest
-Chiefs have their QB in Cassel so now they bolster
their defense with Curry. Was an animal at the combine.
4. Seahawks Matt Stafford QB Georgia
- They signed TJ to a long term deal and can get a good
wr in later rounds of this years draft. Stafford will be
groomed by Hasselbeck for a few years.
5.Browns- Brian Orakpo DE/LB Texas
- Browns will use him as a pass rushing OLB. He is a day
1 starter for the browns.
6. Bengals Michael Crabtree WR Texas Tech
-They lost TJ to the hawks so the bengals find his
replacement in Crabtree. As long as he doesnt take
after ocho cinco expext him to do great in cinci.
7. Raiders Jeremy Maclin WR Missouri
-They desperately need a big play wideout. This guy is
super fast and is just what Al Davis ordered.
8. Jaguars Mark Sanchez QB USC
- David Garrard's time in Jacksonville is nearing an end.
Sanchez will challenge for the starting spot. If he fails
he will be groomed for a year or two.
9. GB- Malcolm Jenkins CB OSU
- Jenkins is too good to pass up on here especially
when both of their starting CB's are nearing the
end.
10. 49ers Andre Smith OT Alabama
- Smith didnt help himself at the combine possibly losing
millions and millions of dollars. He will help Frank Gore
finely get the credit, recognition and possibly a rushing
title he deserves.
11. BUF- Everette Brown DE Florida St.
-Brown just might be the best DE in the Draft.
will be an improvement over Chris Kelsay.
12. DEN- B.J. Raji DT Boston College
- Raji will fill a big hole in the Broncos D. He is a big
Massive DT that has suprising quickness.
13. Redskins- Brian Cushing LB USC
-Mister do it all Cushing should help the redskins get
even younger on D.They signed big name guys and let go
off almost all of their aging players.
14. NO- Vontae Davis CB Illinois
-The saints need a starting CB. Davis is a ball hawk
who will start from day 1. Perfect fit for the saints.
15. Texans Peria Jerry DT Mississipi
-Texans answered their questions at DE by signing Antonio
Smith. He will compete with Travis Jackson for the job.
16. SD- Rey Maualuga ILB USC
- They eventually need to find LT's Replacement but not
with this pick. Rey will patch up a mediocre inside
Linebacker crew. Will be a terror next to Merriman.
17. Jets Hakeem Nicks WR North Carolina
- Jets could take a QB here but they seem content on what
they have. Coles is gone and now they are hurtin for a WR.
Nicks has arguably the best hands out of all the WR's this
draft.
18. Bears Michael Oher OT Mississipi
- Bears needed an Ot and finds one that should have been
in the top ten.
19. Buccaneers Aaron Maybin De/Lb
-Cutting Cato June probably wasnt smart because now they
need a LB. Maybin should be able to fill his shoes though.
20. Lions James Laurinaitis LB Ohio State
- Face it the Lions LB's are undersized and unathletic.
James should change all of this.
21.Eagles Eben Britton OT Arizona
- Eagles need a TE but they need an OT worse. with possibly
two of their starting Ot's leaving they need to draft Britton
here.
22.Vikings Percy Harvin WR Florida
- the Vikings are not going to sign Terrell Owens. What a
mistake that would be. Percy should be used in many wild cat
formations with AP.
23. Patriots Alphonso Smith CB Wake Forest
- One of the Pats weakness's is at CB. Smith will compete for
the starting job.
24. Falcons Larry English DE/LB Northern Illinois
- Falcons desperately need a LB. English should be able to
step up and be a starter by day 1.
25. Dolphins Tyson Jackson DE LSU
- Dolphins cut Vonnie Holiday and left a hole at DE. Jackson
will be an excelent pick here.
26. BAL- Darrius Heyward-Bey, WR Maryland
-I get crap for this pick all the time but I dont see
why not.He is a local kid with tons of talent. Maybe
they trade down here and hope to get him in the second
round. The Ravens need someone to throw the ball to.
This guy has the ability to run under any of
Flacco's throws.
27. Colts Evander Hood DT Missouri
- Colts instantly get bigger up front with this guy.
He is a Gap Plugger that just fits in with the colts style of D.
28. PHI- Knowshon Moreno RB Georgia
- Westbrook has been getting banged up a lot recently.
Knowshon should be expected to take some snaps away
from Westbrook just to keep him healthy next year.
*could also take a Safety Here*
29. Giants Kenny Britt WR Rutgers
- Face it Burress is not going to come back to the NFL a Giant.
He will not be able to get his life on straight. Britt is a
local talent with size.
30.Titans Robert Ayers DE Tennessee
- Ayers will be part of a rotation d end. Very Talented as he
can drop into coverage as well as pass rush.
31. ARZ- LeSean McCoy RB Pittsburgh
-Yes James looked good for the Cards this last year but
he is still old. McCoy reminds me of a healthy Brian
Westbrook and should pair up with Tim Hightower well.
32. PIT- Duke Robinson OG
- Its either a Center or an OG. Robinson is the best OG
on the board and fits right in with the Steelers.
*could pick Max Unger here*
